The AA
Background
The AA has built an enviable consumer, B2B and brand franchise anchored around its market leading roadside assistance service. It offers a variety of products and services including roadside assistance, insurance services and driving services. The AA has offered legal services for a number of years, but took a major step forward with the launch of AA Legal Documents in November 2010.
How we help
The AA utilises Epoq's white-labelled legal services and makes them available to the general public via the AA Legal Documents website. The legal document service covers an extensive range for legal matters, from complaining about a utility bill to getting divorced. The website allows AA customers to prepare legal documents online and then send them to the AA's chosen law firm, Cogent Law, for review and advice. Selected AA customers can benefit from free access to the legal document service, significantly improving the value provide to them by the AA.
Admiral
Background
Admiral Insurance (part of the EUI Group Ltd) is one of the largest and most recognised insurance brands in the UK. They specialise in providing car, motor and van insurance at highly competitive premiums.
How we help
Admiral's motor insurance customers can access Epoq's legal services via a white- labelled website delivered by Composite Legal Expenses. Epoq provides a range of legal document templates relevant to Admiral motor insurance policyholders, enabling them to resolve issues such as challenging a parking fine or complaining about poor quality work and/or service.
Allianz
Background
Allianz Legal Protection (ALP) is the company within the Allianz Group that specialises in legal expenses insurance for both consumers and businesses. ALP recognised that it could significantly improve the value of their product by providing its policyholders with the tools they need to deal with legal matters.
How we help
Epoq provides ALP with a white-labelled legal service that includes an online law guide and document preparation service which ALP makes available to its policyholders. The legal service is of genuine use to policyholders and has added significantly to the strength of ALP's customer proposition. In addition, by empowering their policyholders to better protect themselves against legal disputes, ALP is helping to manage its insured risk.
ARAG
Background
ARAG is one of the largest family owned providers of legal insurance in the UK. It was one of the first commercial legal expenses insurers to transform its insurance product into a service-led proposition. Key to that was providing their policyholders with access to Epoq's legal services.
How we help
Initially, ARAG offered its policyholders Epoq's business law services only, but later extended its legal offering to include personal lines and landlord customers. Accessible from a dedicated website, the legal service includes an extensive range of legal document templates to help business owners, individuals and landlords deal with many everyday legal matters. The addition of Epoq's legal services to ARAG's legal expenses products has enabled it to significantly improve renewal rates. In fact, 70 - 80% of customers say they are more likely to renew an ARAG policy because it gives access to on line legal documents.
Arc Legal Assistance
Background
Arc Legal Assistance is a specialist provider of legal expenses insurance and related services, covering family, motor, commercial, travel and property owners. Arc's clients include insurers, intermediaries, financial institutions and affinity groups.
How we help
Epoq provides Arc Legal Assistance with a range of online legal document services accessible via a dedicated website, Law Assistance. The service is included with appropriate Arc products to create services that are more powerful than simple insurance products. The result is that the end users have access to a service that provides them with not only advice on how to deal with legal issues, but also gives them the tools to protect themselves or take action as necessary.
AXA Assistance

AXA Assistance Group is a world leader in assistance service and is part of AXA, the world's second largest insurer. As an established provider of tailor-made, value-added solutions, AXA Assistance creates and administers branded, outsourced assistance services for a range of organisations, including insurance companies/brokers, credit card companies, banks and building societies.
How we help
AXA Assistance selected Epoq to enhance the range of services it provides in its legal assistance package, by including access to Epoq's white-labelled Law Assistance website. The site includes a wide range of easy-to-complete document templates for use by both individuals and businesses, helping them to manage a range of legal needs, from making a Will or power of attorney, to completing employment contracts and health & safety documentation. The inclusion of Epoq's service has significantly enhanced the value of the AXA Assistance proposition, helping to increase its acquisition and retention rates.
BCSG
Background
BCSG offers unrivalled experience and expertise in helping large organisations deliver valuable cloud-based services to their small business customers. Its customers include financial institutions and telecoms companies work with BCSG to identify the needs of their small business customers and deliver them the most appropriate, tailored cloud services.
How we help
Epoq provides BCSG's customers with access to online legal services designed specifically for SMEs. These services include online documents, contracts and policies, plus an optional document review service and a legal helpline. Areas of law covered include employment, health & safety, business start-up, trading and debt recovery, which in combination give small businesses an affordable and easy way to comply with the regulations and manage legal risks.

Background
Composite Legal Expenses is one of the UK's leading providers of legal expenses insurance. Its prepaid Before the Event (BTE) product range includes motor, personal and commercial legal expenses insurance. They also offer proactive risk management solutions including 24/7 legal advice as well as online human resource and health & safety services.
How we help
We provide a white-labelled legal services website which Composite includes as an addition to some of its legal expenses products. The website can be branded in the style of the insurance partner and includes a range of useful documents relating to motoring issues such as disputing a parking fine, buying or selling a used car or complaining about a sub-standard service, all of which give greater value to the insurance customer.
DAS
Background
Since its formation in 1975, DAS has become firmly established within the legal expenses insurance market and has become one of the UK's leading non-life insurers. It provides legal protection for families, motorists, landlords and businesses.
How we help
Epoq provides two white-labelled legal information and document preparation websites for DAS; DAS Householdlaw and DAS Businesslaw. These websites enable DAS policyholders to learn about their legal rights and obligations, as well as to easily prepare a range of important legal documents. Epoq's legal services have enabled DAS to become more than just a legal expenses insurance provider and have been instrumental in helping DAS to build strong relationships with its customers.
EE
Background
EE, formerly Everything Everywhere, is a mobile network operator and internet service provider company. It is the largest mobile network operator in the UK, with around 28 million customers, both consumers and small business.
How we help
Through our relationship with BCSG, Epoq is providing EE small business customers with a comprehensive legal compliance and advice service. A pioneer in the provision of telephone advisory services, FirstAssist provides a range of business focused services which advises and supports hundreds of businesses throughout the UK daily. Lyfeclub offers a new and novel way to start up a business. It gives associate members unlimited access to legal advice, legal documentation and other legal resources, which they can use to build up a network of club members and take a share in the business.

Epoq provides its technology platform and legal content, which is branded as Lyfeclub Legal Docs to give members access to a comprehensive range of legal document preparation services for both personal and business needs. Background
MORE TH>N was launched in June 2001 bringing freshness and a new approach to the consumer financial services market and offers insurance products covering home, motor, travel, landlord and life. MORE TH>N Home insurance has achieved the highest 5 star rating available from independent financial research organisation, Defaqto.
How we help
Epoq created and maintains the MORE TH>N Legal Services website which provides eligible policyholders with access to an online law guide and document preparation facilities. Policyholders can deal with an extensive range of legal matters, from a minor dispute with a retailer or noisy neighbour, to complex matters such as getting divorced. The service provides excellent value-for-money for policyholders as it empowers them to deal with matters that would cost hundreds of pounds if they went to a solicitor. For MORE TH>N, the service is a great differentiator that provides a powerful customer acquisition and retention tool.
MSL
Background
MSL Legal Expenses provides a range of tailored legal expenses insurance products for motor, home, landlord and commercial. The company's products are predominantly sold through insurance brokers and saw the adoption of Epoq's services as a way to provide more value to end customers.
How we help
Epoq has designed a small number of schemes to complement some of MSL's LEI products. These are delivered using Epoq's shared legal services delivery platform, Law Assistance, but with MSL branding applied to reinforce the message that it is MSL providing the additional value.
NatWest
Background
A leading UK retail bank servicing both individuals and businesses, NatWest was looking for ways to enhance the service it offered its small business customers to give them greater value, as well as create a new revenue stream for the bank.
How we help
Epoq created the NatWest RiskRemedy web service, which enables small business customers to deal with a myriad of legal issues. Now in its second generation, the service has been extended to cover a broad range of debt, property and commercial matters, building on the employment and health & safety content that formed the core of the original product. A the heart of the service is Epoq's online law guide and document preparation facilities. These are supported by a team of lawyers to provide legal advice and review draft legal documents. The service also includes an insurance component to take care of the costs associated with employment tribunals.
Nelsons
Background
Nelsons LLP is one of the largest law firms in the East Midlands with offices in Nottingham, Derby and Leicester and is recognised by the Legal 500 as a 'Regional Heavyweight' law firm. In 2008, Nelsons were keen to take advantage of the changes in the legal sector regulation for the benefit of their clients.
How we help
Nelsons chose Epoq to provide them with a web capability that would combine the ease of online access with their legal expertise. The site is fully branded to match the Nelsons corporate style and includes an online document drafting service, in addition to a range of extra facilities to help clients use the service, such as FAQs, help files, product selectors, animated tours and 'step through' tutorial movies. As a result, Nelsons can offer their existing clients a more flexible range of services and a more convenient way of engaging the firm.
Royal Bank of Scotland
Background
Mentor is the division of RBS that provides professional support to help businesses comply with employment and health & safety legislation. Its traditional delivery model was to use a network of professionals to provide individual advice and document preparation services. However, Mentor recognised that many small businesses want an easier, more convenient way to access these services.
How we help
Epoq was selected by RBS to provide a dedicated web-based business legal and compliance service. Branded RBS RiskRemedy, the site helps small businesses stay complaint without the hassle and costs associated with using a specialist law firm. The introduction of RiskRemedy means that Mentor can now offer services to the large number of previously underserved small businesses.
Slater & Gordon
Background
Slater & Gordon is one of the UK's largest law firms with 1,450 staff and 18 offices in England, Scotland & Wales. In 2012, it acquired the law firm, Russell, Jones & Walker (RJW), a long-standing client of Epoq.
How we help
Following Slater & Gordon's acquisition of RJW, Epoq continues to provide the firm with a dedicated online legal service which gives clients easy access to range of legal of documents relating to several areas of law including property, family and Wills, which they can purchase and draft online by completing a simple questionnaire at a time and place that suits them.
Saga
Background
Saga is a well-recognised, classic British brand, providing products and services tailored for people aged 50 and over. Initially established as an out-of-season holiday provider in 1950, Saga has successfully broadened its product and service offering to range from cruises and holidays, to home and motor insurance, savings and share dealing.
How we help
In 2011, Saga entered the legal services market with the launch of Saga Legal Services and chose Epoq to provide an online legal document preparation service. Saga Legal Services is available for anyone to use on a pay-as-you-go basis, but individuals that have purchased certain Saga products have completely free access to a selection of relevant legal services. With the introduction of its legal service, Saga has established a presence in the evolving legal services market and is using this new service to strengthen its relationships with its customers, driving loyalty and contributing to its core business.

Background
Smarta is a support platform for business owners and entrepreneurs with the aim of providing a one-stop-shop where business owners can connect, learn and actually *do* business. The platform includes a wealth of information, guides and videos to help SMEs to manage risks and grow successfully.
How we help
Epoq provides Smarta customers with access to our online business law documents and legal advice line via the Business Builder service. The product is aimed at small and growing businesses and includes access to many of the documents, contracts and policies needed to trade safely and grow a business, from employment contracts and health & safety policies, through to privacy policies and non-disclosure agreements.
Stephensons Solicitors
Background
Stephensons Solicitors LLP is a UK top 100 law firm based in the North West. The practice has 28 Partners and over 300 staff across 5 North West locations and practice law across a board range of legal areas, including company commercial, employment, personal Injury, conveyancing and wills and probate.
How we help
Epoq provide Stephensons Wills department with an in-house document drafting solution, Rapidocs LawDraft. Since the introduction of Rapidocs LawDraft, Stephensons' Wills department have found that on average the time to take instructions and create a first draft Will has been halved. The system has significantly improved the efficiency of the process and means that clients are mostly required to attend for only one face-to-face meeting for a Will to be drafted.

Through our relationship with BCSG, VMB SMB customers now have access to an extensive range of tools to help them comply with business laws and regulations for a fraction of the cost of using a traditional law firm. Available to purchase from VMB's 'Digital Collection', the subscription service is delivered by Epoq's MyLawyer brand and includes access to hundreds of document and contract templates, as well as a 24/7 legal advice line for unlimited advice and guidance on any legal issue that might affect their business.
