Deploying a Solution with RapidocsWeb
As with all Rapidocs® technology, the first step to deploying a RapidocsWeb solution is to author one or more templates using one of the authoring tools. Once the templates are complete they are typically uploaded to Epoq's content management system (TEAMS) in readiness to be served to the customer.
Rapidocs templates may then be compiled and stored in XML format, and a Rapidocs server engine (the 'Server Assembler') converts this to XHTML which can then be interpreted by the user's browser. Data is passed between client and server using AJAX communications which means that the end-user perceives minimal page loading or browser refresh when saving or loading their document.
The user may choose to save their answers at any point and return to them later if they wish. The answers are then saved to a server and are combined with the template from which the XHTML file was originally built, to create the completed document. This may then be downloaded as a Word or PDF file if the user wishes to save and/or print it.
Applications
RapidocsWeb is the core technology underpinning most of Epoq's legal website offerings. In particular, the Epoq Legal Engine ('ELE') is built around it. All MyLawyer partner websites as well as the central MyLawyer site are dependant on this technology.
