RapidocsX
Introduction
RapidocsX uses ActiveX technology to embed all of the Rapidocs® document automation capabilities into the users web browser (IE only). This removes the need for the user to download and install separate software, yet retains all of the power and flexibility that Rapidocs offers.
RapidocsX is distributed as a compact, digitally-signed 'cabinet' file that automatically downloads and installs itself when required. It's a one-time download and, once installed, it will remain stored on the client PC. Updates to the software are also installed automatically as they become available, making RapidocsX a convenient application to administer.
As with RapidocsWeb, RapidocsX files are opened and saved to and from a server, making it ideal for use in intranet/extranet environment, or where integration with an existing document-management system is required.

RapidocsX in more detail
RapidocsX works in partnership with the Epoq Legal Contact-Centre System ('ELCCS') whereby it is utilised by legal operatives to review and amend documents returned to them by customers.
This makes RapidocsX a highly versatile means of delivering Rapidocs® templates through a web-browser, and provides the ideal solution for the ELCCS system, since the document is built in 'real-time' on screen, and may be viewed by anyone connected to the system wherever they are located. Context sensitive help is available throughout the assembly process, and hyperlinks within these 'help' windows link to additional, more detailed, information. RapidocsX also contains a full permission-sensitive editor, enabling the user to print, export and make changes to their document from within their browser, provided they have the rights to do so.
As with RapidocsWeb, RapidocsX does not need a document navigator since documents are saved to a central server. Instead, the web-application (in this case, ELCCS) manages the documents and provides a UI for the user to choose which document they wish to open in RapidocsX.
Epoq Legal Contact Centre System (ELCCS)
Epoq has pioneered a revolutionary new way of delivering high-quality legal documents and contracts to customers, and having them reviewed through the use of panel of legal reviewers. The document is completed by the user (typically via a website using RapidocsWeb) and then forwarded to a lawyer for them to review and approve using RapidocsX in the ELCCS system, before being printed, bound and sent by post to the customer.
