Request for Credit Files

An individual's statutory credit files can be obtained as part of a process of removing incorrect information from those files. It is to be used by someone who has suffered identity theft, or who simply wishes to take appropriate action to improve their credit rating by removing incorrect information from their credit file and adding explanations (where appropriate) as to why their credit history is so poor.

Identity Theft Recovery

Appropriate action may be taken to correct bad data in a victim's credit files following identity theft. Before using this service our Request for Credit Files (above) should be used to produce the letters to Credit Reference Agencies to obtain the statutory credit reports.

Proof of Identity and Facts

The purpose of this Proof of Identity and Facts document is to enable you to prove to a supplier of credit, who has been defrauded by someone who has stolen or misused your identity, that you are who you say you are (Proof of Identity) and the transactions were not entered into by you (Proof of Facts). This is done through supplying true copies of the personal pages of your passport and circumstantial evidence in support of the fact that you did not enter into the disputed transactions.
